I'd been experiencing the sunrise alone each morning of our trip to Glenwood Springs. On this particular November morning, I dragged my husband out of bed, onto our mountain bikes, and straight to the Glenwood Canyon Trail. I was determined to have him by my side on our last morning there. We rode in amazement at such remarkable 360 views.
On our ride back toward town, we ran into another biker who was pedaling at lightning speed towards us. Waving us away, he anxiously yelled, "Bear! Beeeaaarrrr!!" Like any good explorer, I cautioned towards the direction of danger with my husband by my side whisper-yelling for me to stop.
Unfortunately, no bears were to be seen.
